In this week’s Into the Bubble, we follow a group of civil servants who decide to get out of their office and buy plants at a surprise plant market downstairs.

But what has really happened here?

These photographs show 3 European Commissioners: Margrethe Vestager, the Commissioner in charge of Competition, Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission and Commissioner in charge of Energy Union, and Nicolas Schmit, Commissioner for Jobs. All the 3 of them received a visit of young climate activists from the Extinction Rebellion group.
These visits happen quite often: most of the Commissioners receive regularly groups and representatives of the civic society as well as stakeholders, in order to discuss their priorities and issues to be addressed.
